How We Make Money
You should know how a service is paid for before you trust it. Here it is in plain words.

The summary
- It costs you nothing to use this site or to enquire.
- If an introduction we make leads to a qualifying commercial relationship, a participating buyer may pay us a referral fee.
- We never charge businesses, never pay or reward enquirers, and never share any referral fee with the businesses we introduce.
- Referral fees are not guaranteed. Whether one is earned depends on decisions by the buyer, and the buyer can change its programme.
This is the disclosure statement used across the site: "This website is operated by an independent introduction service. We may receive compensation from participating organisations when an introduction results in a qualifying commercial relationship. There is no charge to businesses submitting an enquiry."
Independence from buyers
We are not owned by, employed by, or an agent or partner of any buyer. We do not speak for any buyer and will not suggest otherwise. When we link to a buyer's application, we say so before you leave the site, and the link may contain a code that lets the buyer recognise that we made the introduction.
Fit comes before fees
- Where more than one buyer could suit you, we recommend the one that best matches your business and its published criteria. How much a buyer pays us does not decide the order or the recommendation.
- If we work with more than one buyer, we will say so, and we will tell you if a buyer pays us for introductions.
- If we think you are unlikely to be a fit for any buyer, we will say so rather than send you on.
What we never do
- Ask for files, documents, customer data, employee data, credentials or payment details.
- Promise acceptance, a price or a timetable.
- Negotiate or agree terms on your behalf, or on a buyer's behalf.
- Describe an internally screened enquiry as accepted by a buyer. Only a buyer's own confirmation counts.
- Submit applications for you. You apply yourself through the buyer's own link, after you have agreed to be introduced.
Editorial independence
Guides on this site are written to be useful whether or not you ever enquire. Buyers do not review, approve or pay for them. Our editorial policy explains how we research and update them, and how to tell us if we have got something wrong.
What this means for your information
We share your details only with a buyer you have agreed to be introduced to, and only after we have told you who it is. Our Privacy Notice has the full detail.
